We all love relaxing with friends over a BBQ, but patio cleaning is no one’s favourite task. The frequency with which this task needs to be completed can really grind too. Slippery and unsightly weeds, mosses, lichen, and fungi can persist and return just days after cleaning, or even after a professional high pressure wash (which incidentally may damage the stones over time), because the root systems of the infectants are deep and tenacious. Our softwashing patio service is far more effective than DIY. The cleansing system we use is designed to clean the surface, and penetrate into the porous sub-surface, sanitising in the cracks and gaps between the slabs. We can also replace sand between slabs with sterile kiln dried sand when this has been blown away or removed by high pressure washing, which further inhibits the regrowth of moss and weeds. High pressure washing often removes sand between slabs, leaving to loose blocks, and increasing the chance of weed growth.

It is important to keep the regrowth of the infectants down to an absolute minimum. To do this we will investigate and analyse the organic, atmospheric growths.  We will then cordon and protect any green or vegetative borders that may be impacted by our initial detergent treatments. We will remove obvious growth and stains, and use our softwash treatment to prevent their recurrence, with no need of re-sanding.. Our satisfaction is in seeing prim again patio slabs, leaving you free to enjoy the summer on your patio!
