Expert Canopy Cleaning for Commercial & Residential Properties

At Soft Washing UK, we provide professional canopy cleaning services for businesses, commercial premises, restaurants, hotels, schools, retail units, and residential properties throughout the UK.

Over time, canopies, awnings, entrance covers, and external structures accumulate dirt, algae, moss, grease, pollution, bird droppings, and organic growth that can leave your property looking neglected and unprofessional.

Our specialist canopy cleaning team uses advanced soft washing and low-pressure cleaning methods to safely restore canopies without causing damage to delicate surfaces.

Whether you need a restaurant canopy cleaned, a retail entrance refreshed, or a large commercial canopy restored, we deliver outstanding results with minimal disruption to your business.

Why Professional Canopy Cleaning Matters

A clean canopy does more than improve appearance. Regular maintenance helps:

Enhance your property’s kerb appeal
Create a positive first impression for customers
Remove algae, mould, and organic growth
Prevent premature deterioration of canopy materials
Improve hygiene standards
Extend the lifespan of your canopy investment
Maintain a professional image for your business

Commercial canopies are constantly exposed to the UK’s harsh weather, airborne pollution, and biological growth.

Regular professional cleaning helps preserve their condition and reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Commercial Canopy Cleaning

We work with businesses of all sizes across multiple sectors, including:

Restaurants & Cafés

Restaurant canopies are often exposed to grease, cooking residues, smoke deposits, and environmental contaminants. Our cleaning process removes stubborn build-up, helping maintain a clean and welcoming appearance for your customers.

Hotels & Hospitality Venues

First impressions matter in the hospitality industry. We help hotels, pubs, bars, and leisure venues maintain immaculate entrance canopies that reflect the quality of their brand.

Retail Parks & Shopping Centres

Large commercial canopies can quickly become stained by pollution, algae, and weathering. Our specialist cleaning solutions restore their appearance while protecting the underlying materials.

Schools, Universities & Public Buildings

Educational and public sector facilities benefit from regular canopy cleaning to maintain a safe, professional, and well-presented environment.

Residential Canopy & Awning Cleaning

Homeowners trust Soft Washing UK to safely clean:

Our gentle soft washing process removes unsightly staining and biological growth without damaging fabrics, coatings, glass, polycarbonate, metal, or painted surfaces.

Our Canopy Cleaning Process

1. Detailed Site Assessment

Every project begins with a full inspection to identify the canopy material, level of contamination, and any specific cleaning requirements.

2. Specialist Surface Treatment

We apply professional cleaning solutions designed to break down dirt, algae, mould, lichen, and organic staining safely and effectively.

3. Low-Pressure Soft Washing

Unlike aggressive pressure washing, our soft washing system cleans thoroughly while protecting delicate canopy materials and finishes.

4. Final Inspection

Once cleaning is complete, we carry out a final quality check to ensure exceptional results and total customer satisfaction.

Types of Canopies We Clean

We clean a wide range of canopy systems, including:

Commercial entrance canopies
Retail store canopies
Restaurant and café canopies
Hotel entrance canopies
School canopies

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a canopy be cleaned?

Most commercial canopies benefit from professional cleaning every 6–12 months, depending on location, weather exposure, and surrounding environmental conditions.

Can you remove algae and black staining?

Yes. Our specialist soft washing treatments are highly effective at removing algae, mould, mildew, lichen, and organic staining.

Is soft washing better than pressure washing?

For many canopy materials, soft washing provides a safer and more effective long-term solution because it removes biological growth while reducing the risk of surface damage.

Do you provide out-of-hours cleaning?

Yes. We can arrange flexible scheduling to minimise disruption to commercial operations.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve used this service a few times over the years for our house exterior, gutters, and patio, and they always do a great job. They’re reliable, thorough, and often go the extra mile, even with tough stains. Everything is left looking really clean, and they always explain things clearly. We’re very happy with the results and keep coming back.

Many thanks to Softwashing UK for their excellent work at a reasonable price. We had some long standing algae stains on the rendering of the rear walls on our property in Cardiff.

And the admin team were great in providing a quote, planning the work, and visited our property beforehand to check access to complete the work.

Excellent team who know what they are doing. We are really happy with the results, better than we expected.

Thanks.
