Case Study- Block Floor Paving Swansea
The block floor paving at Llys y Ddraig Welsh Government offices in Swansea was in a state of some disrepair, with dust and dirt becoming very entrenched. In busy areas with high footfall this often a problem, and very little can be done to prevent it, and a regular maintenance plan is highly recommended to keep block floor in optimum condition. Block floor paving is very durable and as such it does not require softwashing unless organic growth is present, so softwashing used conventional pressure spray technology on this occasion. This meant that the project was not complex technically, but as these are very busy offices work needed to be completed outside office hours, early in the morning. Softwashing UK are always more than happy to accommodate client needs and work unconventional hours when the project requires it.
A pressure washer was used to clean the block floor. This is because block floor is an impermeable surface that can withstand water and high pressure. On this occasion it was not necessary to use steam to clean the area. But steam cleaners can also be used effectively on these substrates. Working early morning Softwashing UK were able to to clean every square inch of the block floor at these Swansea offices. Even working outside of office hours with little chance of public interference health and safety protocols were respected in full. Safety is always the watch word for us.
