High pressure cleaning is not appropriate for cleaning window frames, the chalky residues may not be removed even with pressure, and the jets can cause damage and leak in through the windows, at Softwashing UK we use the recommended method. We use a three stage process to clean aluminium frames. Having first inspected for damage we will rinse with pure water, pumped through our low pressure system. This ensures any drops or splashes will not stain or mar glass panes. We will then blend a bio-friendly detergent cream, used specifically for aluminium, and apply this across the surface by hand, using a special pad. This cream totally removes the typical residues, and its light detergent base cleanses and kills other lingering bacteria and organisms. This process not only cleans the aluminium, but gives a deep polish to the surface, and the frames will have a real shine, like they day they were installed. We then finish the job with a second pure water rinse.
